Fill the Boot 2009
This year we will be teaming up with the Annapolis city Local 1926 for MDA’s Fill the Boot fund drive. Since we are no longer able to collect funds on the county streets and more importantly on duty we are asking for everyone’s support to come out and volunteer their time to make this year’s FTB a success.
This year’s Fill the Boot is scheduled over the Naval Academy’s Parents weekend. August 6th (A), 7th(B), 8th(C), & 9th(D). We will be meeting up with the Annapolis firefighters in the city on each of these dates. Each days schedule has been broken up into shifts as follows:
0830-1130
Lunch provided by the Locals @ one of the city stations
1300-1600
1700-2000
There will also be an additional shift on Friday August 7th from 2100-2300
I’m asking that everyone sign up for at least one shift on any one of the four days. Without the funds raised from fill the boot, summer camp is not possible for all the kids counting on us. In addition to the MDA, members of Local 1926 are counting on us to fill the boot as well. Our goal this year for Local 1563 is to raise $10,000.00 which is not possible without your help. As we prepare for this year’s FTB I ask everyone to remember why it is that we are doing it and how many kids will be benefitting from our efforts.
